Mariana Ferrari
Mariana is an Industrial Designer and mother of two, she creates unique pieces working with artisans, proposing traditional and contemporary patterns, always aware and respectful of the traditional process. Her concern in the living and working conditions of artisans has let to solid relationships all over Mexico and Latin America. She works with artisans and owns a beautiful store that sells their crafts under fair trade principles in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (a UNESCO world cultural heritage site.)
Irene Barrios
Irene is a sociologist and photographer, mother of two. She has devoted much of her work to philanthropy, working with human rights NGO’s in indigenous communities in Mexico. Shortly after the birth of her second son, she found herself dreaming about creating a cultural project to preserve and dignify Mexican rural and indigenous culture and traditions.

Camelia Ramos Zamora
Waist-loom Rebozo artisan
Malinalco, Estado de México, México.
Passionate for textile art, she has specialized on the creation and promotion of waist-loom and colonial Rebozo.
Her mission is to preserve the cultural tradition, and revitalizing the use of the Rebozo through different garments and forms of use.
Through her workshop Camelia has taught and employed over 60 women with the mission to contribute to the preservation and showcase of the rich textile heritage.
Florencia Díaz
Waist-loom textile artisan
San Andrés Larráinzar, Chiapas, México.
Florencia has worked as a waist-loom textile artisan for over 30 years. She is passionate about her craft and has always enjoyed doing the work while raising kids and transmitting her knowledge to them and her Tzotzil community at Los Altos de Chiapas.
Florencia is positive that there is always a way to collaborate and preserve this art for generations to come.
